I am a veteran home school mother of seven who has 30+ years experience caring for and children from infants through high school. I have worked as a care giver for children and adults in private homes as well as group settings. I have worked in day cares, schools, home care, assisted living, private homes, churches, public schools and home school co-op settings as a teacher, paraprofessional, direct-care worker, and foster parent. I have worked with individuals with special needs including developmental, intellectual, medical, behavioral, and age-related needs. I also have experience as a private tutor in most subjects, preschool through high school, and enjoy using teachable moments with all my clients. I have training in Applied Behavior Analysis, and experience working as a Behavior Technician with individuals having Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am working towards a degree in psychology, with plans to become a Special Education Teacher and Behavior Specialist/Behavior Analyst.

Acela was the perfect fit for my mom, who needed a night time sitter at a rehab facility. My mom had broken arms and needed reminders during the night to stay in bed so that she would not fall. Acela was very dependable and so very kind to my mom. I could not have managed without her during this recovery time.
