Abner has been a blessing to our family. He cared for my father for more than 5 years - more than 2 as a home health care aide, and about 3 years as a companion and advocate at a nursing home when it was no longer possible to keep my father at home. My father loves Abner - he is personable, laid back, knowledgeable, and really cares about my father. He can also handle difficult personalities well - my mother did not make his job easy when he worked as a home health care aide. As a nursing home companion/advocate, Abner communicates very well with the family, updating us with observations / concerns / suggestions, and informing us in advance if something comes up with his schedule. He is easy to talk to, trustworthy, flexible, and easy to work with. I appreciate so much that he gave me the opportunity to speak to my father via video every time he visited the nursing home (I live out of state), and facilitated the conversations (my father is not very verbal anymore, and can't work technology by himself). Abner truly became part of the family and we were so sad to find out that he was moving!! I highly recommend Abner to provide care to your loved one.
