About Abigail

As the oldest of 6 children and growing up in a home daycare that my mom has run since before I was born, I have been around children in a "caretaker-type" capacity for the majority of my life. As you can imagine, it came very naturally to me as I watched my mom do it day in and day out. And now that I have my own child, that role has much more meaning to me. As a mother, I am responsible for my child's well-being 24/7. It's a responsibility that requires nurturing, patience, understanding, and an overall acceptance that you are responsible for a life. For the first 14 months of my son's life, I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home and care for him myself. However, I would like to get back into the workforce and contribute financially to our household. I would like to find a part-time position that would allow me to bring my son with me. I am hoping that someone will give me the opportunity to care for their child(ren) the way I care for my own - with nothing but love.
