I went to Arizona every year for 5 years to do fill-in care for my Grandma (who lived with my aunt) and my aunt's mother in law! My grandma has suffered from Alzheimer's for over a decade, so I understand how difficult it can be to see a loved one endure the loss of memory and ability to do everyday things. I've cooked and cleaned for my seniors clients, helped them bathe and dress, and do games and outings to engage their attention. I also accompanied them to doctors appointments and shopping occasionally. I've also done senior care for a woman with Alzheimer's doing 48hr weekends, and then did overnights and some days with an elderly couple where the husband had memory issues and the wife was paralyzed. I did their personal care, meals, and some house cleaning. After that I did busy work, personal care, and outings with a woman with Alzheimer's and slightly limited mobility. I believe that the elderly in our lives matter and should be taken care of with the utmost respect and privacy
