About Abigail

I'm a dedicated and passionate 3rd-year Elementary Education student at NMU. My focus is language arts, but I am learning to teach all subjects. I have been singing for 12 years and am in the advanced choir on campus. I played the violin for 8 years and love all kinds of music! I would be comfortable tutoring an elementary-middle school student in one of these areas of music or general education subjects. Although I haven't tutored formally, I spend 4-5 days each week in elementary classrooms, including Kindergarten and 2nd grade, during ELA instruction. I also have substitute taught for various grades and subjects. Additionally, I have experience creating fun, engaging, and efficient lesson plans, and have background knowledge of teaching pedagogy and methods. I am excited and ready for the challenge!
