About Abby

I have been surrounded by kids my entire life. My mom ran a home daycare, and is a 3rd grade teacher. I am an Early childhood/ Elementary education major at UW La Crosse. I have had multiple experiences in the classroom, working with children ages 3 months through 3rd grade. I'm looking for a job that is either weekly or just spontaneous, as I have a pretty busy schedule. I am willing to help with kids of any age. I started working with kids when I was 16 years old, at the YMCA aftercare program, helping kids with homework and activities. Since then I have worked at childcare centers, respite jobs, and nannying. In my spare time, I am the captain of the UWL Dance team! I love to dance and have been doing so since I was 3 years old! I am willing to help in any way necessary, as I just want to make a positive impact on children and families. My skills include regulating emotions, assisting with tasks such as homework and other responsibilities, and keeping kids entertained.
