About Abbigail

I have a great many years of caregiving experience. I grew up with a handicapped Mom and my own child had a profound case of cerebral palsy. Initially I worked as a paramedic firefighter in Detroit, before eventually getting my Ph. D. in the neurosciences. With that I taught veterinary medicine and conducted brain research. I have also published multiple books concerning caregiving. Having said all that, I firmly believe that the perfect caregiver does not exist. No two people are the same and over time we learn to do things our own way. That means a caregiver must always be willing to learn, adapt and help without being controlling. After all, caregiving is about assisting you in getting through your day safely and doing the things you enjoy most. Whether your needs are simple or quite involved, I am able to provide the therapy, medical care and attentiveness that you need. I look forward to talking with you soon.
