Hello! I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Psychology in May of 2017. Since then I have relocated to Portland and am looking for work as a Personal Support Worker. I am already certified as a PSW through the state of Oregon. I am a responsible, empathetic, trusting, reliable and patient person. I am interested in caring for children with special circumstances. I spent the fall of 2015 working with a 10-year-old boy with severe, nonverbal autism regularly. As of 2016, I started babysitting for that family periodically watching the 10-year-old and their younger 6-year-old son simultaneously. I was very close to this family and my experience bonding with this young boy was so rewarding. My experience and education make me confident in my ability to work with the families of and care for children with alternate abilities or behavior issues.
