About Kira

I would consider myself to be experienced with children and childcare. I babysat for family friends and family members throughout high school, and have babysat children who were only a few months old to teenagers. My mother is a teacher for special needs children, and I got to spend time in her classroom throughout my youth. I was a leader for a local summer leadership camp that had kids ages 5-12. I also worked as a commercial whitewater rafting guide for five years throughout college. Raft guiding gave me experience in accommodating different kinds of people everyday and made me very comfortable with being outside with kids. I am also CPR certified and have a wilderness first responder certification. I am responsible, outgoing, and have a good work ethic. I enjoy spending time with people, playing outside, creating art, and teaching. I just graduated with a degree in Environmental Science (focused in hydrology) .
