About Aaliyah

My job experience with kids officially started when I was 16 at a Karate Summer Camp/After School in New York. Unofficially, as the oldest kid of my generation in my family, I grew up learning how to entertain kids. Working at the Karate School was a great opportunity for me. I learned how to manage being a figure for the kids to respect as well as someone who can create a safe and fun space. When I was 18 I moved with my family to Michigan! I started working at an incredible Children's Center in Livonia as an Applied Behavioral Therapist. I get to work with children on the spectrum between the ages 2-11 and have been with the company for 2 years. I help children get comfortable with hard daily living activities using their interests, preferences, and motivations. I've learned to use the resources around me to create the best session possible for the kids. I am now 22 and first aid and CPR Certified!
