Hello and welcome to Hope in Faith's Companion Care! A lot of people wonder how establishments and businesses came about, so here I am to tell you how we got started. My name is Faith Arvin and I am 20 years old and a 2016 graduate of Martinsville High School. Fresh out of High School, I was unawareof what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, so I decided to take EMT classes. Even though I was 100% unaware of what I wanted to do, I have always known one thing and that is that I wanted to be able to help others. Not only did I get my Hazmat and my Mandatory Firefighter in my vocational classes while I was in High School, 3 months after High School, I had all the qualifications to be an Emergency Medical Technician. While working my way up the totem pole, I kept searching for what truly caught my eye when it came to helping others. I continued working full-time at my local nursing home and eventually went and got my CNA certification which added another certification to my list. Almost 2 years later, I'm still working as a CNA while attending college to get my bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration. Yes, I finally have found what I want to do and that is helping the seniors as much as I can. Making them happy and showing them that there are younger generations that do care is everything I have dreamed of. I hope to be the change everyone wishes to see, and I want to make a difference starting in my community! As this is just my starting point, I also plan to oversee a long-term care facility one day! A lot of people may ask, "What makes you want to help people?" To me, that's a simple question. When I was 8 years old, my dad passed away from a Brain Aneurysm and my sister, Hope, is also deceased as she was born prematurely. Loosing loved ones is one of the hardest things people can go through. Dealing with that at such a young age is something that has made me who I am today. I remember looking up to all those medical workers who helped me and my family in such rough times and I hope to make the same impact on people as they did me! With that being said and my name being Faith and my deceased sister's name being Hope, that is how we got our businesses name. Hope in Faith's Companion Care. Not only is this business's name very impacting on my life, it also means very much to me as well! Put your Hope in Faith's Companion Care! ... show more
