Finding a support person for your family isn't easy. And today's families have busy lives on top of having to make tough decisions when parents and even their children make life nearly impossible. I'm here to help.
I have always enjoyed helping people, and I adore Seniors. I have decades ofexperience in property management as well as caring for seniors in their homes, assessing their needs in the home to keep them safe as well as running errands, shopping for groceries, preparing meals, and taking them to and from appointments.
I've been able to work with extremely difficult patients by bringing out the humor and personalities of my clients, especially the Big 'Ol Crabs. :)
My wife and I have been married 28 years. She has MS. I've been her support person for 10 years, and being able to help other families in similar situations is my joy.
I grew up in a family business, a Best Western, where I learned every level of property maintenance, personnel management, customer service, and family loyalty - even when it wasn't easy...
I've had my own maintenance company (Ceiling Rescue) and worked as the Maintenance Director at Vintage Suites in Billings. It was there that I could meld my property management expertise with my gifts working with Seniors, and I found my calling.
I recently returned to my home in Billings after moving back from Reno, NV where I cared for my parents, who suffered from dementia and other health conditions. Staci and I tag-teamed their care for over six years.
While my parents were in different levels of medical and palliative care, nurses and other caregivers would consistently comment on how, in "30 years" and "their whole careers" they had only known a handful of family caregivers like us, and I was the first man! This also made me realize that not all families can do everything needed to keep their lives going, and I truly enjoy this work more than anything else I've ever done.
I'm flexible with my schedule, and I have a 4wd Jeep that we got specifically to be able to transport my Dad and his walker wherever he needed to go, so I have a low-entry vehicle that I can transport almost anyone in.
If you have questions, I'd be happy to meet you and answer any concerns you may have! I am happy to provide a list of referrals that you are welcome to talk to as well. ... show more
