Hello! I'm Marco, born and raised in South Africa. Recently moved to the Netherlands about 4 years ago in search of better opportunities and to make travelling easier and more accessible for me. Before I left South Africa, I fostered 2 adorable kittens for 1 year before handing them over to a loving family. I miss them a lot! Most of my childhood was spent growing up around animals and pets, whether that was at my own house or other family member's houses, there were always animals around to play with! I am a dog and cat lover, as well as all kinds of small mammals. Since moving to the Netherlands, I chose not to get a pet because I was unsure how many times I would need to move until I felt settled down, so in the meantime I still want to spend time and play with animals without the added costs of owning one myself, so that's why I joined this site! My apartment also allows pets, so it would not be an issue if they ever needed to be watched at my home or at yours. I would prefer to communicate in English if that's suitable for you, but I also speak Afrikaans fluently and can understand some basic Dutch as well.
