About the job
We are looking for a therapist/buddy for our adult son with Autism. He is compliant, very independent and has no aggressive behaviors. He needs help staying engaged in productive activities. Training and supervision will be provided. Prior experience is not required. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We work on several goals at home: Relationship development, Academic (math, reading and writing), Speech and Language, Play/sports, Self-help and Independence. Interventions used at home are: Relationship Development Intervention to address deficits of Autism. ABA to teach academics and behavior. This is a great learning opportunity for anyone interested in Autism therapies. Our program is supervised by a very experienced knowledgeable consultant who has worked in field of Autism for over 20 years.
