C. started a new school this year, a private Montessori school. His previous schools were traditional in nature, and he is having a difficult time adjusting. C. is very bright-90% in ELA amongst nationwide private school students, and 65% in math. However, he is overwhelmed and has been shutting down. The majority of his current assignments are late, and the assignments he does submit include two-word answers rather than complete sentences. He needs help with content, assignments, and learning to do work at school without supervision, as he tends to surf the web during all free periods. I need someone to come my home in the Memorial area Wednesdays and Thursday from 4-5 and every other Sunday. He is with his father half the time, so I am doing what I can when my son is here.
