Our daughter has special needs and will be entering the 9th grade this fall. Her wonderful tutor of the past 3 years is moving and we are seeking a replacement. While transportation is not required, her current tutor drives her to and from school every day. We cover time, gas and mileage. While at school, she is her 1:1 and provides supplemental academic instruction during the school day. She also provides in-home tutoring during school breaks. We are seeking someone who works well with children with differences, can be creative and a self starter with lesson planning, and willing to collaborate with the faculty and therapists at her school. Special needs experience is not required; what is most important is a creative and flexible thinker who is able to learn how our daughter learns and be an advocate for her. Pay range is negotiable.
