Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions for students in grades K-5. Assist students with homework, class assignments, and test preparation. Develop individualized learning plans to address each student's specific academic needs. Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Track and report on student progress to parents and administrators. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and enhance learning. Must have a valid driver's license, vehicle and be willing to commute to the designated location for services. Should be comfortable working in the home, community center, library, etc. Should be able to build confidence and motivate the students. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, or a related field (current college students in education programs will also be considered). Experience working with elementary school students, preferably in a tutoring or teaching capacity. Strong knowledge of elementary school curriculum and instructional methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport with students and create a positive learning atmosphere. Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of different students. Current BCI/FBI Background Check Assignment Details: Duration: Up to 10 months but may vary depending on how often sessions occur per week. Hours: 3-6 hours/week Schedule: weekday evenings and/or weekend mornings or afternoons. Should be flexible to family's needs.
