I am looking for someone with experience teaching students with learning disabilities and expertise in high school math and/ or Spanish language. The student is a 9th grader, enrolled in regular education, Regents- level classes but struggling with Algebra and Spanish 2. He has ADHD and requires assistance to check his to-do list and ensure his work is completed before turning it in. He is motivated and cooperative! He learns best when he is able to move, fidget, and doodle, but he does need help staying on- task sometimes. Organization and self- awareness (knowing what he doesn't know or what he should focus on) are areas of concern. We are open to either online or in-person meetings, but because a bulk of his algebra work is done on paper, in person is preferred. We can meet at a library or other quiet study space.
