8 yr. grandson struggling in school but school district will not allow him to be retained. He had to wear mask in kindergarten and did not get beginning foundations. The parents took him to speech teacher and she taught him him the sounds, First grade was a disaster as the new hire teacher who had two years teaching third grade belittled him as he could not read or spell words. school district pushed him to 2nd. Parents paid a big fee to have him tested for dyslexia which he classified w dylexia. Pushed on to third and he is depressed. I am looking in to Home schooling him. a tutor could help me. I wd used them weekly if needed.
