My 18yo daughter, a senior at Grand Haven h. s. struggles with mental health issues which affects her attendance greatly, her grades and her focus to stay in track and stay motivated. She's currently failing math games (math strategies class?), and basic personal finance. Failing these two classes would result in her not graduating. She has the work, missing assignments, the notes and understands majority of it, but she could benefit from someone to sit with her to help her understand a better way to get end result without overthinking and getting overwhelmed. She's easily overstimulated in classroom setting and afraid to ask for help because she's thinks people will think she's stupid. More or less she needs a study partner per say, but with a tutor mentality. I believe having someone other than teacher or parents, would be better for her.
