Part-Time Hybrid Homeschool Spanish Teacher (Grades K-8) and Spanish Immersion Early Learning Teacher (Ages 3-5)
Overview:
In this uniquely nontraditional teaching role, the Spanish Teacher will serve dual groups by teaching K-8 hybrid homeschool students and leading Spanish immersion for preschoolers ages 3-5. This role is ideal for an individual with education and/or extensive childcare experience who is creative, flexible, and committed to reimagining language learning as an engaging, culturally enriching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Design interactive, outside-the-box Spanish lessons that inspire K-8 students to develop conversational and written Spanish skills in a joyful, welcoming setting.
For early learners (ages 3-5), lead Spanish immersion sessions that introduce young children to Spanish through play, song, storytelling, and movement.
Actively foster an inclusive environment that values diversity, supports different learning styles, and emphasizes empathy and cultural appreciation.
Collaborate with a passionate team to bring language learning to life across the curriculum and contribute to the hybrid program's innovative spirit.
Maintain warm, compassionate communication with students, families, and colleagues, sharing learning progress and resources for language practice at home.
Embrace opportunities to contribute to pioneering new projects, programs, and teaching methods as part of LILLY's mission.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Spanish and English, with experience in language instruction or immersion teaching a plus (but not required).
A true passion for engaging with diverse learners and creating welcoming, adaptable learning spaces.
Openness to innovative, flexible teaching practices that support a child-centered approach.
