We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tutors who possess a joy for teaching and mentoring K-12 students. Sessions are provided on a one-to-one ratio to provide individualized attention to one student at a time. Students are either tutored at a tutoring facility or at their homes or public location such as a library. Tutoring schedules are designed to keep a close proximity for appointments and/or to have back-to-back sessions at the tutoring facility where students arrive to meet their tutor. Tutors will assist students with academic achievement by meeting them on a regular basis, Monday through Thursday, typically for 1-hour, 1. 5-hour, or 2-hour sessions. The schedules are a weekly recurring schedule at the same time for the entire 2024-2025 school year. Tutoring focuses on providing support to align with content taught in the classroom in the core subjects of Math, Reading/Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language (if student is taking a foreign language). Prior (paid or volunteer) tutoring or teaching experience required. Minimum Bachelor's Degree required Candidates should have open time slots with recurring weekday availability between 3-7 p.m. The location we are hiring for requires commute time, which is taken into account with tutoring rate and compensation.
