About the job
I am searching for an in-person tutor to work with my 16-year-old son, who has an intellectual disability. He is a sweet and happy kid who is eager to please but has difficulty learning things. Everything takes him longer to learn, but he can do so much. We are seeking a tutor to implement a reading program, basic math, and teach him life skills & organizational skills; examples are packing lunch, reading a map, and reading road signs. We want to find someone with a bright personality who is kind, patient, and chatty to take him out of his shyness. The job will be ongoing three days a week 4-6 p.m. We hope to find someone who will stay on the job longish term. We are in the inner Sunset.
