Help Shape A 2nd Graders Future

We are ready to invest long term into our son. Immediate goal: get the basics mastered and up to grade level Overall goal: Excelling above grade level and a love for learning. We are seeking long time, genuine help. I'd love for his tutor to spend the first couple sessions, helping him through some basics (I. e homework help, handwriting, learning the calendar etc) to get an idea of where he's at and his style of learning, then I'd like us to come up with a real plan for getting him to and above grade level. Will provide any resources: workbooks, subscriptions to learning sites etc. My child is very eager to learn and beams with satisfaction when he understands and gets things right. The first couple sessions times and dates may vary but it is our intention and goal to have a consistent tutoring schedule and plan.
