We're on the hunt for a friendly, patient, and college-educated tutor to help our curious 9-year-old with their 3rd-grade schoolwork. If you love working with kids and have a knack for making learning fun, this could be a great fit for you! We need someone who can create a relaxed, encouraging environment while helping with subjects like math, reading, and writing. The goal is to help our child feel confident in their abilities and develop a love for learning, all while making sure they have fun along the way. What we're looking for: - A college graduate or current in college (preferably in education or something related). - Experience working with elementary school-aged kids. - Patience, creativity, and the ability to make learning enjoyable. - Someone who's kind, approachable, and ready to adapt to the child's unique learning style. What you'll do: - Help with 3rd-grade subjects like math, reading, and writing. - Create lessons that are engaging and easy to understand. - Be a positive role model, helping to boost confidence and motivation. - Keep things fun and interesting so learning never feels like a chore. In writing, they have difficulty organizing their thoughts clearly and expressing them effectively. Additionally, in math, the student faces challenges in fully understanding concepts and applying them to problems, which can make learning feel frustrating. The goal is to provide support in these areas by breaking down concepts into manageable steps and helping the student gain confidence and skills. The student learns best with hands-on activities and likes when things are broken down into smaller steps. They respond really well to visual aids like charts, pictures, and diagrams, which help make things easier to understand.
