I need a part-time reading tutor for 11-year-old who is an articulate, bright, strong-willed kiddo and whos challenging behavior has impaired his learning. Behaviors got in the way of early learning, then Covid happened, so now we're playing catch up. From what I can tell he needs basic phonemic help, spelling, decoding, so it's back to basics. We have school-assessment data, but new assessment are welcome. Kiddo has a resistance to traditional teaching styles. Creative, interest-focused and play-based teaching, science of reading, assessment. ABA will be supporting his successful participation during tutoring. Credentials will be required as I will be getting reimbursed by outside agency for services fees paid.
