Job Description - Teaching Assistant Read Write Learning Center is seeking a dependable Teaching Assistant who is passionate about empowering struggling learners and ready to make a difference in the lives of our students. The Assistant will supervise a small group of students from 1:00 pm-2:30 p.m. and then serve as receptionist for other students attending afterschool tutoring sessions from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Start time is firm but ending time is somewhat flexible and can be customized to applicant's schedule. Job Duties: Lead our Read Write Academy students during their recess, study hall, and computer lab time. Monitor afternoon schedule and guide students to the correct instructors/offices. Assist Montgomery Operations Lead in solving any problems that might arise with student or instructor schedules. Help with other administrative tasks such as running copies or filing, as needed. Build positive relationships with students and maintain an environment conducive for learning. Create a warm and welcoming environment for students and parents.
