2nd Grade Tutor

We are seeking a patient and skilled tutor to support our 2nd-grader preparing for the TCAP (Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program). The ideal candidate will work with her once a week in our home to provide personalized instruction. Areas of Focus: Reading Support: Foundational literacy, comprehension strategies, vocabulary, and sentence structure. (Experience working with students with dyslexia is a plus.) Math Support: Basic operations (addition, subtraction), understanding word problems, and foundational geometry concepts. Test Readiness: Building confidence in reading and following directions, and reinforcing Tennessee Academic Standards. Required: Experience teaching or tutoring elementary students (preferably 2nd grade). Familiarity with TCAP or similar standardized tests. Kind, encouraging demeanor to make learning enjoyable
