My son is in the 5th grade, I unfortunately have not been successful with teaching him basic math skills. He is in public school so has been taught by a teacher as well. He can not answer multiplication facts quickly and I am unsure how to teach him this effectively. He is now working on adding and subtracting fractions using common denominators but is really struggling since he isn't quick with multiplication.
