Middle school is HARD! Our 6th grader needs one-on-one support every day after school. He especially needs help listing his assignments and prioritizing them. Then he has to work on sticking with the plan instead of panicking about how much he has to do so he can just get them done, step by step! Breaking bigger assignments and projects down into steps so he can complete them is another area where he needs support. He has ADHD and anxiety, which get in the way of his natural smarts. Helping him stay calm and stick with a plan are super important! He also has a fitness class on Wednesdays and a swim class on Thursdays. Our person will drive him the short distance to each class, stay with him during class, and bring him home afterward. Please note that we have a very boring cat and I work from home.
