My daughter is 11 and went to school at a non traditional school for K-4. She is great in math but has not had any formal math classes. Last year we moved to NH and she started school in Jefferson. They didn't have a spot in the 5th grade class so she went to the 6th grade class. That class didn't have a teacher so it was taught by subs and no structured math was taught. She is now in 7th grade and that teacher only does videos and worksheets. My daughter learns best with a lesson, practice and then a project based or real life skill lesson on that math. I am worried she is not getting enough math to prepare her for high school.
