6th grade child has anxiety which gets in the way of testing and asking questions in class. There is an audial processing challenge that we've spent two years in speech therapy to correct and that has helped tremendously. Still, our ideal tutor would have the patience and kindness to reframe their language when something isn't sinking in the first time. This student is very willing to learn and hardworking so you will not have trouble getting them to engage. All other grades are A's and B's but math is a weakness. If you have a gentle and patient nature, are accepting of a queer/trans household dynamic, and fine with a variety of pets being in the household, we want to hear from you. We are looking to hire someone one or two days a week for an hour in the evenings but that is flexible according to the child's needs.
