About the job
My son is an 8-year-old in third grade. He is currently enrolled in public school and is in the Gifted and Talented program. He is very bright; won an award for best reader last year, etc. The problem is that he has 31 children in his current class. He also has no homework. We are looking for a tutor to work with him one on one a couple of times a week to make sure he continues to progress in a normal fashion. Also looking for some structure/assignments for homework 3-4 nights per week (15-20 minutes) just to get him in the rhythm of homework, etc. We are seeking this out because his older sister (11 years old) attends private school (smaller class sizes, etc) and although not as "good" at school she has a noticeably different and more advanced base academic skill set.
