My son is in honors algebra 2. He unfortunately ended up with a very unsupportive teacher that comes from a college environment and the content in the class does not match the content in any of the other classes for his grade level. Therefore, he has no way to work with peers. While I am a CMO with an advanced degree, the math they have him doing is completely foreign to me.
