Orlando family needs a part-time tutor for Algebra I Honors. My 13-year-old is in 8th grade, but is taking 9th grade Algebra I Honors. They are currently struggling & need some help. Here are some examples of the math problems they're struggling with: "A parabola opening up or down has vertex (0,-6) & passes through (8, 2). Write its equation in vertex form." "Solve by completing the square: j squared - 8j - 23 = 0. j=?" "Write the equation of the parabola that passes through the points (-4, 18), (-3, 0), and (-1, 0)." Times & days are flexible, tutoring 90 min 2x/week. Looking for someone with an algebra teaching background or math degree.
