Hello. My daughter, L, is in need of a history tutor. She is in 8th grade and taking US History. Their school only uses primary sources and they is having a hard time understanding and analyzing the material. L is very shy, quiet, has a hard time opening up to new people, and does not like to be touched (not even a handshake!). It will probably take a few sessions to get them to interact and engage more easily. L. goes by they/them but does understand when people automatically use she/her with them. They will gently remind you but does not get upset or angry when it happens. If this is something you are able to help with, we would like to get started this week so they don't continue to fall further behind.
