My grand daughter had a extremely hard first few years, due to homelessness she did not go to school at all. She is 10 years old and can't read. My daughter and grand children are now living with me. When my grand daughter (D) was in rolled in school last year she was put in 3rd grade class. She failed every subject but was put in 4th grade anyway. D has a teacher that is telling her she needs to finish her tests as well as her class work and doesn't believe she can't read. Now she's in trouble for not doing her work. My daughter (M) works but can't afford to pay $20 or $30 an hour for tutoring. D really needs help.
