Seeking Math Tutor In LB For 7th Grader Struggling With Fractions

Our hard-working 7th grader missed 18 months of school due to CV. She has an IEP that indicates Dyscalculia. She is very motivated, and wants to catch-up to her classmates. She needs someone who is able to help her organize notes, make flashcards / step-by-step instructions for longer procedural tasks, answer homework questions, organize her binder, and strengthen her number sense, especially with fractions. This year, she will begin pre-algebra. We are looking for someone to work with her at school in Long Beach 2-3 times per week: Mon & Fri 1-2pm, and Wed 11:30-12:30 throughout the school year. Pay and schedule are negotiable for the right person. Ideal candidates will enjoy math & have experience teaching kids who don't have "math brains". Patience, kindness, & reliability are essential.
