Seeking a patient, experienced math tutor for a young adult college student with autism. He is motivated but struggles with learning processes and feels frustrated due to gaps in pre-algebra and algebra fundamentals. Key focus areas include: Number lines, simple equations, variables Understanding and interpreting charts and graphs Building confidence alongside skill development An ideal tutor would have experience with neurodiverse learners, be able to teach step-by-step and visually, and create an encouraging, judgment-free environment. Sessions will begin with rebuilding foundational skills before progressing. Please share your experience working with students with autism and your approach to tutoring!
