Our 8-year-old daughter E is not required to learn Spanish at school. However, we believe in multi-lingual immersion, and given her Spanish ancestry and our vacation trips to Spain, we think it would be pragmatic for E to learn Castilian Spanish. A tutor who is from Spain will also help her develop further understanding of the country's culture, customs, and nuances. Thank you!
