About the job
We are seeking a nanny for our 6-year-old non verbal autistic son. N is most of the time a very happy, sweet and playful boy. His favorite things to do are swimming, being outside in our backyard, reading books, playing with sensory toys or watching his tablet. He has some issues with aggression, including head butting hard surfaces or a caregiver, which tends to be triggered by things like being told no or a routine change. This is improving as he has just started on a medication for it. The nanny will need to be capable of blocking any hits or head butting to prevent injury to themselves or him. Mom will be home 90% of the time to give instructions and train the new nanny. Hours until Aug 22nd: 30 hours per week, flexible on days and times. Hours during school year: 5:30pm-8:30 p.m. M, W, Th, F, 4-7 p.m. Tues, 5 hours on weekend.
