About the job
Looking for a part-time caregiver for our 23-year-old daughter who has Rett Syndrome (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delays, Mobility Challenges, Speech Delay). She is a delight and speaks through her eyes and her smile is contagious. Helping with keeping her mobile (frequent exercises and walking which she needs assistance with), toileting assistance, engaging activities through play (loves connect four and others), and a buddy to simply be a friend. Light lifting and adjusting of her is required so health and physical strength (she weighs 80 pounds) is a must. Patience, empathy and compassion are also needed. Ideal match will meet the requirements below as well as being a nurse (or one who needs a break from a hospital setting). Looking for part time work but someone who is also willing to have longevity with our family.
