About the job
We are looking for a compassionate, easygoing caregiver to spend time with our 21-year-old son in our home. This is not a traditional caregiving or babysitting role, it's truly about companionship and connection. Our son is a bright, verbal, funny, music-loving young adult who happens to have special needs. He's high functioning in some ways and limited in others. He does not require help with personal care, this role is social and supportive. We're looking for someone to spend time with him a few times a month (flexible scheduling) for a few hours at a time. Someone who enjoy things like listening/talking about to music, watching a movie or TV, or taking a ride to get something to eat or go to the store. Must be comfortable with pets we have a dog and cat.
