About the job
We are looking for a long term FT Personal Care Attendant for our 17 yr old daughter who is autistic. She is developmentally delayed and nonverbal. Experience and skill set for caring for kids with severe autism is necessary as we desire for someone that will be able to help her continue to learn self-care and daily living skills. Hours will vary based upon the family's busy schedule but typically during the school year it would be 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and some weekends. Summer hours would be more during the day. Flexibility is important but a work schedule can be made up and given a month ahead of time if needed. Again, we are looking for long-term help as consistency is important. Must be able to drive and have own transportation. A formal application and background check is required.
