About the job
We are hiring a long term FT Personal Care Attendant for our 17 yr old autistic daughter. She is developmentally delayed and nonverbal. Experience for caring for kids with severe autism is preferred as we desire for someone that will be able to help her continue to learn self-care and daily living skills. Hours vary based upon the family's busy schedule but typically during the school year it would be 2pm-9 p.m. and some weekends. Summer hours vary day/night. There is flexibility and a work schedule can be made up and given a month ahead of time if needed. S likes to go on walks, swim in the backyard pool, listen to music, do puzzles and watch Disney movies. Again, we are looking for long-term help as consistency is important. Must be able to drive and have own transportation. A formal application and background check is required.
