I am looking for someone to provide Community Living Services to my Adult son. He is blind and has severe autism. The requirement is up to 30 hours a week (flexible) to teach him basic living skills. i. e. self care, food prep, play, socialization etc. There may also been the need for some respite services. The ideal candidate needs to be able to connect with someone on a companion level and be able to create rapport. They need to be creative and think 'outside the box' when it comes to teaching life skills. They also need to be results driven as there is an ISP in place that lays out yearly goals. In the future there may be a need to expand skills outside the home to go shopping for example. The candidate will also need to be prepared to sign up to agency who handle the fiscal part of the position.
