About the job
Caregiver for 20-year-old daughter on the autism spectrum with developmental disabilities to give parents respite. She is verbal and enjoys creative activities, getting out of the house to walk, run errands, socialize. It may take time to get to know my daughter and build her trust. Once she gets to know people she enjoys hanging out. Enjoys being creative, outside in nature, swimming, going shopping or for community activities (once familiar with caregiver) Likes a consistent routine, uses zones of regulation to understand emotions and the emotions of others. independent with eating, toileting and hygiene (with some assistance and reminders) Familiar with autism and preferred working with behavioral strategies and redirection when needed. Schedule may vary. Looking for some weekday afternoons until August and Saturdays ongoing.
