About the job
Hi. I am looking for someone with experience working or interacting with level 1 (high functioning) Autistic teens and willing to learn about the PDA profile of Autism. We have come to the conclusion that public school is not working for my son, so we are beginning the process of unschooling. My son is really independent, but doesn't always know how to navigate situations if something unexpected or an emergency occurred. This would be a fairly easy job. Some interaction (playing games, or listening about his special interests) would be required but you would also have plenty of down time. If you like, Manga, Lego, and gaming, he's your type of kid. Days and times can be flexible if you aren't available 5 days a week. In fact 3 days a week for 2-3 hours would be ideal- I can be flexible with the days and times.
