About the job
We are looking for a part-time support person/buddy for our 27-year-old son at home and also accompany and transport him out in the community 15-20 hours/week to start mostly on T/Th and occasional evening or weekend hours. Mid-June there will be MWF 9-5 availability. Our son has had the most success with people who are energetic, fun and are fully engaged. Our son is smart, funny and kind but struggles with expressive language. His receptive language is good, but it is important that people working with him are fluent and clear in their speech. He enjoys photography and photo editing, art, puzzles, frisbee, shooting hoops and more. We need someone willing to use their own vehicle and be compensated for the mileage. We expect that the vehicle is in safe working condition and fully insured. We look forward to meeting you!
