About the job
Looking for a full-time caregiver for our Autistic son in Battle Ground. In need of a caregiver for our 9-year-old Autistic child. The job might be all day (and tutoring or help with homeschooling would be ideal) or half days. You must have experience with working with ASD children. Ideal candidates will have a background in special needs, have a calm and confident approach, be very patient, like to spend time outdoors year-round, and understand Autism (and the importance of resiliency). He is very creative and needs someone who can support this. Skills in DBT, somatic experiencing, and/or other dysregulation skills are highly desirable. The care is mainly for him but there are two other children (his siblings) might need care at times. A parent should be on site working from home most days. Conservative and phone loving need not apply.
