Provide support to a 22-year-old male who has significant disabilities including autism, an intellectual disability, limited speech, and occasional self-injurious behaviors during behavioral meltdowns. The applicant must have compassion and be calm and kind. The applicant will need to help the individual with his self-care (bathroom/showering, etc), preparing food, safety, and community outings. This position is paid through a Medicaid waiver/agency, and the rate is set at approximately $17/hour. Requires the applicant to have background checks and complete W2 tax form and federal I9 - right to work paperwork. Experienced and comfortable working with an adult who has significant disabilities. This position is in the family home, and the applicant must also be comfortable being around 2 dogs that take time warming up to new people.
